My portfolio site here at Procedural Dreams was initially a bespoke content management system to allow me to post my favourite 3D modelling renders and show them to friends and prospective clients. I then expanded it slightly to contain detailed descriptions, methods of contact and misc information.
The previous iterations of the site were solid (see below images) but didn’t have the professional image that I wanted. In it’s current form, the site is powered by WordPress and allows me to quickly add and edit content as I complete new projects or revisit old ones. I modified the original WordPress ‘Twentytwelve’ theme, removing unnecessary clutter and injecting some personality.
The red and white colour scheme has been consistent throughout and remains my favourite combination. I first fell in love with the scheme whilst playing the ‘Mirror’s Edge’ video game on PC. The clean look and sharp contrast stuck with me and I’ve used it in numerous projects, this site included.
