Once we had established our storefront and service areas at Tech Help it was important to have an online presence. The domain had been registered many years before by my colleague but only hosted a very simple page with a single image, akin to a business card.
With my background in web design I created a basic page listing our services, prices and contact methods. I included a map along with methods to reach our store.
I also took care of the Search Engine Optimization, making sure the layout and content of the page were organised as per Google’s guidelines. I registered the business with online and kept details up to date as they changed.
The website was incrementally updated over the years to better communicate our services to both businesses and domestic customers. The final major iteration made the whole site responsive for viewing on phone, tablets and PC screens of all sizes. Many customers mentioned how impressed they were with the website and it’s clarity (and position in Google searches), including one professional HMTL/Ruby programmer who thought that it had been outsourced to a professional development house.
