During my time at Tech Help we took numerous different approaches to marketing with the majority of these requiring the creation of graphics. Being on a tight budget I personally designed all of the company’s signs, leaflets, advertisements and posters.
These graphics ranged from small A6 advertisements (pictured right) up to A1 posters for outdoor A-frame signage. Each different size had different messages to convey using the available space. Magazine advertisements needed to give people a full summary of what we did and how to contact us. Signs outside and displayed in the window only had to detail one or two services and concentrate their space on being eye-catching to passers by travelling on foot and by car.
I designed all graphics using Photoshop and GIMP, making several versions and discussing them with my colleague. We then moved forward incrementally until we were both happy with the final results and sent them away to be printed.
